Major Moscow's Assaults Eliminate Electricity Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities targeted in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have faced increased attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to blackouts in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were hurt while residents in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and faced interruptions to water systems, according to local authorities.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was killed in a separate aerial attack in the southeastern region in the southern area, as reported by area administrators.

Moscow has intensified assaults on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while the country's government has called for "real steps" from partner nations to exert influence on Moscow.

"What is required is not window dressing but firm measures - from the America, Europe and the Group of Seven - in providing air defence systems and implementing restrictions," he wrote in a public message.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 projectiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were striving to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes hit electrical systems and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Several of the people hurt in the attacks on the capital have been hospitalized, per statements from municipal representatives.

Regional authorities said the metropolitan region came under heavy assaults throughout the evening. A young boy died and several individuals were injured.

The strikes follow periods of bombing campaigns in the territory, sections of which remain under the control of Russian forces.

The whole nation is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to detect.

Government officials told reporters that Russia was deliberately attempting to demolish the national power system, with attacks already disrupting energy systems.

He said technical personnel and authorities were anticipating more assaults.
